The Eden project has been on my radar since it opened, however I had never visited until now. I visited on Monday 27th May.
Swiss Cheese Plant - Monstera Deliciosa
This is a leaf of the Swiss Chees Plant. It is a common houseplant but in tropical conditons it will produce a banana-and-pineapple-flavoured fruit. The fruit is ready to eat once hte hexagonal green pieces start falling off, but it takes a year to rippen and the unripe fruit contains toxic oxalic acid.
