The Plume of Feathers is a pub with a number of rooms located in Mitchell, Cornwall.

We stayed in May 2024 for one night with Rodeo (Dog). The pub was well located for the places we were visiting (the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan).

The room we had was a delux double, the room was extremely spacious. The room we stayed in opened directly to the outside, this was very convienent when taking the dog out in the early hours of the morning. The pub has a section that is dog friendly and we were able to eat there for both dinner and breaktast (breakfast was inlcuded in our room rate). They charged an extra £20 for the dog, this is a per night charge. For this they did provide a dog welcome pack which inlcuded a couple of treats and a roll of poo bags. They would also provided, dog bed, towels and bowls on request.

The resturant had a broad dinner menu of both pub classics and more interesting offerings. The included breakfast had a range of options from a full Cornish Breakfast, pancakes and even home made granola and yoghurt. All the food we had was good. Staff were freindly, polite and there was great service!

There was plenty of parking in the pub’s car park and they have a field behind the pub which was useful for giving the dog some exercise.

If in the area again we would definately return!
