Equipment for Learning

I am getting frustrated with the amount of children that are turning up to my classroom without essential supplies. There is no reason for this other than laziness as we are in a fairly affluent area so it is not that they don’t have or can’t afford basic supplies the just don’t bring them.

Therefore Monday will mark the start of my new crusade, forget AfL, it is all about EfL (not english as a foreign language, equipment for learning).

I have made posters to go up in the Geography rooms and in the corridor. The pupils will also get a sticker for the cover of their exercise books. There will be a week’s grace period and then there will be spot equipment checks.

Having re-read this I am slightly concerned I am going the way of the PE department – hopefully someone will stop me if I start giving out detentions for the wrong socks.
